Hi, I’m Melissa, the founder of 4 Reasons Disability Services. My personal journey as a mother to four unique children inspired me to support others facing mental illness and disabilities. With a solid background in Community Services and a deep understanding of the NDIS, I left an eight-year career to start 4 Reasons, driven to tailor solutions that meet individual needs.

Today, I am dedicated to empowering our clients to achieve their fullest potential, ensuring they receive the comprehensive care they deserve. At 4 Reasons, we’re committed to making a sustainable impact, helping individuals and their families thrive.

What is Supported Independent Living (SIL)

SIL is a type of support designed for people with significant and permanent disabilities who need help or supervision throughout daily tasks to live as independently as possible. It includes assistance with personal care, household tasks, and other needs.

How is Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) different from SIL?

SDA refers to specially designed housing that accommodates people with extreme functional impairments or very high support needs, while SIL focuses on providing support within these or other living arrangements to enhance daily living skills.
